Children Should
Never Be Forgotten

The children behind the movement

Three brothers. One family. Time that matters.

My name is Taylor Wahlers. I am the mother of three minor boys: Braxton, 12; Brently, 11; and Carter, 7. Since November 10, 2025, my family has experienced prolonged separation and uncertainty while my criminal case remains pending.

Carter and I have been separated from Braxton and Brently. That separation has also affected the relationship among all three brothers—their ordinary time together, shared routines, and opportunities to grow up side by side.

I am sharing our experience to ask a larger question: how can we ensure that the needs of children and siblings remain visible when court proceedings are prolonged?

What we're advocating for

Accountability with compassion

This movement supports lawful processes, judicial independence, and meaningful attention to the children living through prolonged family separation.

Timely review

Encourage better identification and administrative monitoring of prolonged proceedings affecting minor children, without dictating judicial decisions.

Sibling connections

Recognize that separation can affect bonds among brothers and sisters—not only relationships between parents and children.

Support in schools

Explore privacy-conscious ways for appropriate school staff to recognize distress and connect children with support, without taking sides in legal disputes.

Protecting healthy connections

Understanding family separation and parental alienation concerns

Some families report that a child’s relationship with a parent has been undermined through pressure, interference, or negative messaging. These concerns deserve careful, individualized attention. Not every parent-child separation is parental alienation, and some restrictions are necessary to protect children’s safety.

Our mission is to promote child-centered, evidence-informed responses that respect safety, due process, and healthy parent-child and sibling relationships.

“While the legal system works toward the right outcomes, the children living through that process must not be forgotten.”
